Athlete At Heart

I'm Stephanie, just a regular Midwestern girl striving to live a healthy, happy, and active life! I'm taking on all kinds of athletic endeavors like triathlons and half marathons while losing the extra weight. I’m an athlete but I’m far from being elite.  I swim, bike, and run, but not fast.  I race for fun and personal bests, not for places or prizes.  I’m injury prone.  I have a lot to learn about training and nutrition.  But my heart is in it. Being an “Athlete at Heart” is a feeling; a mindset.  It’s living an active, healthy life.  Testing your limits and pushing beyond your comfort zone.  Setting and reaching goals.  It’s striving to better yourself on and off the playing field.  Being sound and strong in mind, body, and soul.  Pursuing your interests, athletics and everything else, with dedication and passion.  Living life to the fullest.  I’m willing to bet there’s a little athlete in everyone! Though my posts, I want to share my journey to a healthier, more active life.  I want to talk about nutrition, workouts, gear, training, races, food, health, love, life, family, motivation, and fitting it all in.  I want to hear your thoughts and ideas.  I want to build a support group of like-minded people.
